RUMI

We are a society plagued by spiritual turmoil & intellectual disintegration and what man is searching for is a roadmap that Rumi outlined 800 years ago. And everyone regardless of religion and beliefs can benefit from this ocean of thoughts and ideas. Thus, his solutions to the difficulties, distresses and impasses man get involved with, cover a wide range of issues and are still highly applicable. Rumi does not remain within the confines of culture, race and history and therefore if his poems were translated suitably to other language everyone across the globe would be able to benefit from them to establish a better connection with God, himself, his fellow men and the world around him in order to reach peace and well-being in life. The Artistic Project “A Collective Human Culture” includes 30 special verses from Rumi's poems with themes such as:
- Loving God
- Worldly love
- Providence
- Daily bread and livelihood
- Praise and worship
- Thanksgivings
- Patience
- Effort and hard work
- Hope English translations of Nicholson and Barks will be used which are among the best with literary mastery for Rumi's poems expressing precise mental concepts. International Art Gallery created artwork from a selection of 40 of Rumi's poetry verses (Farsi/English), commissioned by one of Rumi's supporters in 2010. See the photographs exhibited. International Art Gallery is ready to create another collection of verses from Rumi poems and translations by Nicholson and Barks. This artwork collection can be published in the form of a bilingual book, English or other languages. The creation of the artwork and publication of such a collection in book form will be a first, creating a bridge between interested parties and enthusiasts around the world.
