Khayyam and Flamenco modern artworks

Khayyam and Flamenco modern artworks

Merging two different fields, the Rubaiyat of Khayyam and Flamenco Dance, is an excuse to juxtapose two pure and noble cultures of Iran and Spain. The aim behind the creation of these artworks is to present a different viewpoint for the viewers, leading them to the consideration of two questions: Who is Khayyam? and What is Flamenco?. In terms of individualistic perception, the viewer may contemplate the relationship and merging of the cncepts and cultures in the artworks. The quatrains used in these artworks are in Persian and Spanish. The Spanish translations are selected from the works of Ahmad Taheri and Clara Janés, the Spanish contemporary poet and translator. I should also thank Mr. Rezazadeh, chairman of Mahan Seir Sam Air Travel and Tourism Company, and his colleagues for being the sponsor and organizer of this event/exhibition.
